Sustainability at HPR Shades of Green: Advanced Rainwater Harvesting & Water Management

Special pipes run across the township to collect rainwater. These pipes save up to 95% of the rain that falls. This water is not wasted. It is collected and used again. This cuts down the need for outside water sources. It also helps refill groundwater within the property. This system is the base of the whole water-saving plan.

Water treatment plants keep the community's water clean. Sewage treatment plants handle dirty water right within the township. Recycled water from these plants is used to water trees and gardens. This means less fresh water is needed for the gardens. Proper sewage handling also keeps the area clean and healthy.

The water for the project is supplied from Kannur Village Panchayat. The large water tanks located on the roof of the buildings contain this water. From here, the water is made to flow to all the villas. Water pumps are used to ensure that there is a constant flow of water in every villa. This water is carried using underground pipes made of UPVC.

Every villa gets hot water from one shared solar heater. This cuts down on electricity used for heating water. All common areas use energy-saving lights. BESCOM power gives 8 kW of electricity to each villa. A full power backup keeps the lights on at all times.

An organic waste converter handles household waste right inside the community. This means less waste goes to landfills outside. Along with sewage treatment, this keeps waste handling clean and local. These steps lower the township's harm to the environment.

The use of an intelligent water meter will enable residents to monitor their daily consumption of water. In this manner, individuals can conserve water by utilizing it judiciously. In addition, the township has facilities for charging electric vehicles. This is an innovative way of promoting eco-friendly methods of transport.

According to the master plan, there are green zones in each block. There are walking trails that have trees on either side and are located along the perimeter of the land. There are wide roads within the township, making movement easy, and they do not disrupt the green cover. It is an effective strategy because it utilizes the entire 4.50-acre land effectively.

All 83 villas are positioned to give the people living in them privacy. Each villa follows Vastu rules to create a peaceful home. Villas also have open views of the green spaces that are around them. This layout brings both comfort and calm to living.

The clubhouse covers 11,381 sq. ft. within the township. It brings a resort-like feel with more than 30 modern amenities. These include a spa, party halls, a café, and a dedicated park. This one central spot makes daily convenience easy to reach from every villa.
